Make off with your Rival’s Cash in Xbox Madden 10 Contests

If learning about all the new stuff still hasn't made you excited about Xbox Madden 10, then maybe a visit to video gaming's not-so-distant past can put things into perspective. Yeah, it could be a bit cruel to constantly bag on older games as a means to elevate today's football video games. Then again, those side-by-side comparisons help underscore the fact that Xbox Madden 10 is a truly top-notch football video game. Certainly, there was a huge, untapped market for football video games, when the first generation of console games made their debut. The bad news, though, was that video game technology was still in the "post-Pong" phase, and the games reflected those limitations. Even then, the game companies were excellent at the hype, and kept boasting that this one boasted "all the excitement" of real football.

They didn't even try to make those guys look like people. Rough, but true. The brief glance at the pic gives you a taste, but believe me, what went on during an actual game was much more horrific. From a technological standpoint, things were so basic, that multiple players moving at once meant that the only thing extreme about this game was the flickering of the players. Sound effects didn't fare much better, with the "spectators" sounding more like a car with a busted muffler. Again, things like the scrolling screen wouldn't be a required part of any game for a while yet. Soon, the first round of the console wars would begin, and the competition created a football video game of their own. A serious effort was made with this next one, in order to give gamers a football video game closer to the real thing. A step in the right direction, but work needed to be done still. While it did tantalize the video game world with its improvements, it was still only a slight move in the right direction. It would take a few more years before anything like that took place. But this one, which was released in the late 80s, as part of the next generation of game consoles, really hit it big, to the point where people still love it. For quite a while, this was considered the greatest football video game by the video game world.

Can't argue with the fact that the hardcore gamers did take to this one - for the first time, the NFL got the red-carpet treatment from a football video game. This was the ultimate step up in football video games for a long time, so gamers really proclaimed this one the best football game out there, year after year. With the online revival, today's gamers are getting a taste of yesteryear - and loving it. That being said, as much as everyone digs that one, Xbox Madden 10 is in an entirely different league.

Hard to believe how much these games have improved since they first came on the scene. We've had a few chuckles, but mocking less advanced video games isn't a productive use of our time. No need to keep harping on it. You have to start somewhere, and those other games did - and Xbox Madden 10 would have never been possible if it weren't for those older football video games. Of course, Xbox Madden 10 has really kicked this one over the goal posts, which has the video game world pretty pleased. The reviews are as positive as the reaction from the gamers themselves - it's a hit with the fans as well as the video game sites. You want impressive admiration for Xbox Madden 10, see the reviews, which all use terms like"realistic and enjoyable." Xbox Madden 10 is another monster hit for EA Sports, though we think you could predict that one.

There are always going to be the haters, but pay no attention - Xbox Madden 10 rules. Xbox Madden 10 isn't just a great Xbox sports video game - it's an all-around great Xbox video game. With Xbox Madden 10, the debate over the best football video game can be laid to rest. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money. Now, Xbox Madden 10 fanatics can throw down the gauntlet and play video games for money. Once you've reached your apex of acumen, you'll be the one scoring big - and filling up your wallet in the process.
